In this post i am going to look at the rough cut for my media coursework and point out what can be changed about it.
The rough cut:
After watching the rough cut a couple times i think that it is pretty good but not quite perfect. There is a couple points which i think are not quite perfect. The shot where the laptop user is sitting on the bench in between the thief walking up to him and the thief stealing the laptop needs to be slightly longer. Also when the chase starts off from the long shot there shot needs to be slightly longer to make the cut seem smoother to the handheld shot of the chase. When the thief is in his room the first couple of shots are underexposed so the exposure needs to be raised on a few of those shots. When the man is searching for a laptop on his phone i think that there can be a reverse shot from over his shoulder again. When the delivery man walks up to the door the shot is slightly underexposed so the exposure will need to be raised. The shot where the man answers the door to the delivery man is slightly too long so that will needs to be changed. Apart from these i think that the cut is pretty good.
